The Harmony Montgomery Commission will study, examine and make recommendations regarding the welfare and best interest considerations of children in care and protection cases.
A citizenship program to assist legal permanent residents of the Commonwealth become citizens of the United States.
Expands a texting-based mental health support program tailored specifically to youth and young adults in the Commonwealth and youth mental health community education, outreach and communications.
Creates a crisis line, similar to 911, that will connect people to 24/7 behavioral health services instead of law enforcement.
Helps low-income families by creating a common application for health care, housing, food assistance and other benefits.
Ensures that LGBTQIA+ veterans who were discharged under the Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell policy are eligible for state veterans’ benefits.
Creates a pilot program to provide medication-assisted treatment for opioid addiction at all county jails.
Makes it easier for cities and towns to create and manage community choice energy programs that deliver clean and renewable electricity.
Creates a grant program administered by the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security (EOPSS) to expand the human trafficking pilot programs through successful investigation and prosecution as well as to build upon community relationships and municipal law enforcement’s capacity to work on anti-trafficking cases.
